Position Announcement: Digital Solutions Specialist

GlobalVetLINK (GVL) seeks a Digital Solutions Specialist to be responsible for generating revenue derived from the sales of GVL's non-certificate related products and services tied to specific GVL customer types. The person in this position is responsible for capturing new business as defined by executed contracts. S/he must research, qualify, pursue and win new business commensurate with their assigned market segments. The Digital Solutions Specialist must also work with their internal GVL customers to lead initiatives as defined as accurate transfer of customer needs into the proposal process.

The Digital Solutions Specialist has primary management responsibilities for the GVL IP sales process including revenue growth and other Key Performance Indicators. This position works closely with and interacts across all GVL Business Unit teams to ensure the overall success of the organization.

The Digital Solutions Specialist will develop and communicate strategic sales plans including vision and expectation levels to business unit leadership teams. The IPS strategy should support the strategic direction of GVL’s corporate vision and company goals. Additionally, this position will work closely with leadership, development, marketing, and support to ensure that revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sales process from opportunity targeting through contract execution and transition to implementation.
  • Creates market development plans; make recommendations regarding actions, including coooperative selling efforts.
  • Leverage relationship management and needs-based selling skills to provide clients with a consultative sales process
  • Identifies and participates in trade shows, social media and web
  • Build strong relationship with key customers in order to accelerate revenue growth;
  • Explore and analyze market trends and identify new opportunities in assigned GVL market segments
  • Coordinate with marketing team to develop and implement marketing plans for assigned market segments
  • Work on requirements provided by senior GVL management whenever required;
  • Provide input and participation in weekly/quarterly/annual team meetings and planning sessions;
  • Travel, as appropriate to industry events, tradeshows and customer sites effectively presenting, educating and demonstrating GVL solutions;
  • Be an expert with respect to the products, market, and competition;

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree in Business, Economics, or Science discipline preferred
  • 5+ years of sales experience in SaaS or Animal Health industry;
  • At least 5 years outside sales experience in a business to business environment
  • Proven track record of achievement in identifying new revenue opportunities;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products;
  • Direct and phone customer contact experience required;
  • Significant travel required (40-60%);
  • Strong presentation skills to professional and technical audiences;
  • Demonstrated ability to create and foster relationships with industry players, agencies, key customers, and internal staff;
  • History of and willingness to embrace technology. Working knowledge of Internet technologies and SaaS experience highly desired;
  • Ability to work effectively with broad range of customer types ranging from end users to key decision makers, owners and/or senior management;
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities across GVL’s business units.
  • A strong passion for Animal Health and Sciences field;
  • Background in selling to Animal Health, Regulatory, and Veterinary Services and or software solutions desired;
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner in a fast paced, high reward environment;
  • Exhibit professionalism in all internal and external environments exemplifying GVL’s core values;
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively with minimal direct supervision.
