Position Announcement: Lecturer in Swine Health and Production Management

The Department of Population Health and Pathobiology, College of Veterinary Medicine, North Carolina State University invites applications for a position as lecturer in swine health and production management ending June 30, 2012 with potential for another year subject to budget availability. The successful applicant will join a team of three swine health and production management faculty members who have well-established, collaborative relations with faculty in other CVM departments, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the Department of Agriculture, other veterinary colleges and research institutions, swine veterinarians and pork producers in North Carolina and animal health industry professionals. Candidates must have a DVM degree or equivalent. An advanced degree (MS or other) is desirable, but not required. Demonstrated attributes include experience in teaching clinical swine medicine and modern swine production, effective oral and written communication skills, and an ability to interact with students, veterinarians and pork producers.
