Who Says Pigs Can’t Fly?

Well, alright maybe pigs can't fly but the AASV Foundation's auction catalog sure can and it should be in your mailbox this week! It is chock full of stuff you wish you already owned. But, fear not, it can all be yours if the price is right during the Foundation Auction on Monday night.

Thanks to the generosity of your fellow members, friends and our allied industry partners we've got another fabulous listing of getaways, hunting trips, fishing trips, artwork, handmade items, sporting equipment, electronics, foods and wines. But, this year there's an extra little fun bonus that Dr. Warren Wilson thought up. It seems he's been putting his spare change into a piggy bank since he graduated from veterinary school. Think about that - he started collecting change back in the days when getting a penny for your thoughts really meant something! Anyway, he has decided to raffle off that piggy bank and all its contents!

Here's the deal, for $5 per raffle ticket ($20 for 5 tickets) you get to guess how much money is in the piggy bank. The person who comes the closest to the actual amount wins the bank and its contents! Warren is the only person who knows the actual amount and he's not telling. He assures me, though, that it's not filled with wooden nickels.

So, stop by the desk at the annual meeting and buy a few tickets and take your chances - all the proceeds go to support the AASV Foundation (you can even donate the contents if you want).
