AASV Spouses/Family Members: Don't Miss Out on Desert Adventure Tour - Register Today!

If your spouse or other family members are accompanying you to the AASV 2011 Annual Meeting in Phoenix, don't forget to check out the Desert Adventure Jeep Tour offered on Monday March 7. The 3-hour tour (9am - 12 noon) will provide an opportunity to explore the land, plants, and history of Arizona's unique Sonoran Desert. Pre-registration for the tour is required as we must provide a final count prior to the meeting.

A caravan of comfortable four-wheel drive jeeps will pull up to the resort and the cowboy guide will greet tour participants as they load into the off-road vehicles for a morning of adventure. Once on the trail, the guide will tell tales of the Arizona backcountry and the Indians that once lived there. In the desert, a short guided nature walk will enable participants to get up close to Arizona nature. They'll learn about the numerous uses of the various Sonoran Desert plants - from modern medicine and cosmetology to a food source. Attendees are encouraged to bring cameras and/or video recorders to take home memories of this Desert Adventure!

The registration fee includes transportation, guided desert tour and nature walk, iced soft beverages and gratuities. Space is limited; pre-registration is required so register today! To register, use the online meeting registration form at www.aasv.org/annmtg. If you've already registered yourself for the meeting, use the "No charge" option under "Registration" and then select the Jeep Tour by entering the number of participants and their names, then proceed to payment.

Please note, this tour is not recommended for pregnant women or those with orthopedic issues such as back problems.
