Cargill Pork LLC has an opportunity for a Staff Veterinarian (Job # IOW00072) in southern Iowa. This position will work closely with Cargill Pork LLC field managers and contract growers.

Responsibilities:

1. Direct the diagnosis and treatment of clinical swine diseases
2. Assist with all issues that involve the health and well being of swine.
3. Develop and implement health programs that ensures compliance with all governmental and company regulations.
4. Evaluate data based upon numbers culled and mortality
5. Examine swine to detect and determine the nature of diseases or injuries
6. Confer with other team members to resolve animal health issues.

Requirements:

1. Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited veterinary college.
2. Minimum of 2 years swine industry experience
3. Thorough understanding of animal husbandry issues
4. Valid veterinary license to practice in Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri will need to be obtained.
5. Reside in Southern Iowa
6. Travel is required. This travel will be mostly day travel to sites.
