AASV Board Member Receives Award

Dr. Jim Lowe received the Allen D. Leman Science in Practice Award at this year's Leman Swine Conference.

Dr. Lowe is a 1994 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. After three years in mixed animal practice, he became a co-owner of Professional Swine Management, LLC and Carthage Veterinary Service, Ltd in Carthage, IL. In 2000, he completed the Executive Veterinary Program and, in 2005, completed his master of science degree.

Dr. Lowe was elected to the AASV Board of Directors representing District 5 in March, 2002. In 2003 he joined The Maschoffs, Inc. in Carlyle, IL as the director of health and production services. Recently, he returned to private practice with Carthage Veterinary Services, Ltd. and continues to work with The Maschoffs leading their Health Services group.
