NIAA Names CEO

The National Institute for Animal Agriculture (NIAA) has appointed Michele Vise-Brown Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Vice-Brown replaces Dr. Nevil Speer, who has been acting CEO since the departure of Glenn Slack in June. She has been with NIAA since 2003 serving as Director of Member Relations and Committee Operations. Before coming to NIAA, she held various positions of increasing responsibility with PIC USA, Inc. in Kentucky, North Carolina and Wisconsin between 1996 and 2003. She started as a Management Trainee, then was a Customer Service Specialist and finally served as Customer Service Manager where she supervised a department of eight people. Vise-Brown holds an Animal Science Degree from the University of Kentucky. She also holds a Certificate of Management from Belmont University in Nashville.

[Ed. Michele is no stranger to AASV. A number of our members have had contact with her through her association with PIC and, later, NIAA. We wish her the best in her new position.]
