Abstracts for Student Seminar due Friday, September 23

Midnight Friday, September 23, marks the deadline for veterinary students to submit abstracts to be considered for presentation during the Student Seminar at the AASV 2006 Annual Meeting. Complete guidelines for submission may be found at http://www.aasv.org/annmtg/2006/studentseminar.htm. A professional panel - consisting of a private practitioner, an academician at a school from which no students have submitted an abstract, and an industry veterinarian - will conduct a blind review of the abstracts to select 15 for presentation at the March meeting. The students whose papers are selected will compete for one of several veterinary student scholarships awarded through the AASV Foundation. Funding for the scholarships is provided by Alpharma Animal Health and the Ely Lilly & Company Foundation on behalf of Elanco Animal Health. As sponsor of the Student Seminar, Alpharma also provides travel support to each student selected to participate.
