Time Running out to Participate in AASV Salary Survey

Only one week remains to participate online in the 2017 AASV Salary Survey! So far, 18% of eligible AASV members have participated, and we're hoping for even more participation in order to generate more reliable results. If you're one of the 175 members who have already submitted your information, thank you! Otherwise, please don't wait any longer - take a few minutes right now to complete the brief survey (no essay questions!) Your participation is important, even if your work only partially involves swine-related activities, and even if you're not working as a traditional practitioner. If you're an "Active" AASV Member (non-retired veterinarian) in the US or Canada, please go to www.aasv.org/members (username and password required) to obtain a security code and access the online survey. If your AASV username/password aren't handy, just click the "Reset Password" link in the upper right of the website to have them emailed to you.

The survey requests information about your employment and salary for the 2016 calendar year. It's much simpler and less painful than the income tax returns you just filed!

AASV members are divided into two survey groups, based upon their employment type. The practitioner survey should be completed by those who oversee pig health for a production or genetics company, as well as those engaged in private practice. Members who work for a university, corporation, or government, who are engaged in education, research, technical services, public health, or regulatory work should complete the public/corporate veterinarian survey.

Once the data collection period has ended, the survey results will be pooled and shared with the AASV membership. Responses are confidential and the results are reported in a manner to assure participant anonymity. The more participation, the more valid the results - so do your part and complete the survey today!
