Register for James D McKean Swine Disease Conference

Register today for the 2016 ISU James D. McKean Swine Disease Conference. The conference will be held on the Iowa State University campus in the Scheman Building on November 3-4, 2016. The conference focuses on emerging swine pathogens and their control, improvements in diagnostics, and risk-based controls useful for on-farm health plan development. In addition to a comprehensive review of the latest in PRRS, Mycoplasma, rotavirus, PEDV, and senecavirus A, there will be an all-inclusive section on the implementation of the VFD’s and the new antibiotic regulations as well as introduction of newer technologies such as Improvest and gene-editing technology. This year’s program has applied for 12.5 hours of continuing education credit from the Iowa Board of Veterinary Examiners.

The guest keynote in the Roy Schultz Lectureship Series is Dr. Fernando Osorio from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Nebraska Center for Virology and School of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences. His research has centered on pathogenesis of and immune response to viral infections, including Pseudorabies Virus and PRRSV.
