Position Announcement: Lecturer in Swine Health and Production Medicine

The Department of Population Health and Pathobiology at North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications from qualified individuals for a non-tenure track appointment as a Lecturer in Swine Health and Production Medicine.

Qualifications:

DVM or equivalent degree. Eligibility for a NC veterinary license or faculty certificate is required.

Responsibilities:

The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at North Carolina State University invites applications for a non-tenure track Lecturer in Swine Health and Production Medicine (12 month appointment).

Instruction responsibilities include teaching veterinary students applied fundamental skills necessary to practice swine medicine and provide an overview of swine production and its evolution. Lecturing Animal Science focused undergraduate students in basics of swine medicine and diseases. Provides extension service through farm visits and interactions with North Carolinian veterinarians. Participates in collaborative research as necessary. Attending veterinarian for the University Swine Educational Unit and the swine farm in the Teaching Animal Unit.

Salary:

Commensurate with candidate’s experience and qualifications
