Swine Health Information Center’s Website Features New Look and Feel and Updated Organization for Your Ease of Use

Be sure to check out the Swine Health Information Center’s recently updated website (http://www.swinehealth.org)! Travel to the site has increased by over 3920% over the past month and majority of traffic was from mobile devices. The updated site offers optimized viewing from all outputs but especially mobile devices to better accommodate this traffic type. Of interest to swine veterinarians is that all 2015 research can be easily viewed and downloaded from the Research Results section of the site (http://www.swinehealth.org/results/). Research results cover topics ranging from an expedited look into the prevalence of Senecavirus A in the U.S. to an evaluation of disinfectants against Seneca Valley Virus, and much more. Fact Sheets and the Swine Disease Matrix are also organized in a way that enables easy viewing and download (http://www.swinehealth.org/fact-sheets/). Additionally the 2016 SHIC Plan of Work focusing on preparedness, response, monitoring, and analysis is fully outlined online at this location: http://www.swinehealth.org/plan-of-work/.

The mission of the Swine Health Information Center is to protect and enhance the health of the United States swine herd through coordinated global disease monitoring, targeted research investments that minimize the impact of future disease threats, and analysis of swine health data.
