Dr. Wayne Brown

The AASV has learned of the passing of Dr. Wayne Brown. Wayne died February 14 following cardiac surgery at the age of 84. Wayne practiced mixed animal medicine for 41 years, raising his family of four children (two of which are now veterinarians) in Paw Paw, Illinois. Wayne was a charter member of the American Association of Swine Practitioners and remained a member until 2003. He was awarded Swine Practitioner of the Year in 1984. Wayne and his wife Doris celebrated 61 years of marriage in 2015.

Visitation will be this Friday from 6-8pm and funeral at 11am Saturday, both at the Collegiate Presbyterian Church in Ames, IA.
