Ode to Paul

On a personal note, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Paul Sundberg for his dedication to America’s pork producers. Monday July 6 will be the first time in over 20 years that the National Pork Board has opened its doors without Paul there to provide input and guidance to the science and technology department (and anyone else smart enough to listen). As you all know, he will be leaving to take on the challenges of standing up the Swine Health Information Center. So, fortunately for us, he will continue his service to the pork industry and furthering our knowledge about swine health. Thanks to his leadership, he leaves the pork board sci-tech department in good hands after assembling a stellar group of scientists, veterinarians and support staff. Please join me in thanking Paul for his service and offer your encouragement as he approaches this next endeavor.
