FSIS Posts the 2015 Residue Sampling Plans
April 1, 2015 —
FSIS is announcing the posting of the publication, U.S. National Residue Program for Meat, Poultry and Egg Products – 2015 Residue Sampling Plans (Blue Book). The publication is the latest version of the “Blue Book” which outlines the residue sampling plans for FY 2015.
The publication describes a three-tier sampling system initiated in 2012 and continuing in to 2015, which identifies production classes and compounds. FSIS analyzes, provides access to current methodology, and explains that the residue program is run on a fiscal year as opposed to a calendar-year basis.
The 2015 Blue Book is available online or on the main residue page, http://www.fsis.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsis/topics/data-collection-and-reports/chemistry.
