Position Announcement: Technical Service Manager

CEVA Animal Health seeks a Technical Service Manager to provide the leadership and the technical expertise required to support external and internal customers by delivering solutions, supporting products/services and building relationships that create shared value long-term. The position is in the Swine Technical Services department, and reports to the Director, Swine Business Unit.

Essential Functions

  • Provide timely and expert technical support on health management, including biosecurity, disease diagnosis, disease intervention, husbandry and the intricacies of swine production to help solve customer problems
  • Demonstrate excellence in business acumen by developing and executing a strategic account business plan for assigned accounts that will meet sales objectives
  • Provide leadership required to effectively manage field trials to support products and services
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations as required
  • Attend professional organization and veterinary meetings to strengthen expertise and network
  • Foster strong working relationships with key opinion leaders, universities, associations and industry organizations
  • Dedicate time to sharpening and acquiring skills that will enhance personal development and Ceva technical excellence
  • Engage in cross-species, poultry and beef, learning and leveraging of best practices to capitalize on synergies and create differentiated value

Education, Skill and Experience Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM or VMD)
  • Advanced degree (MS, PhD) preferred in production medicine, BA and/or board certification in recognized veterinary specialty preferred
  • Four years or more of experience in practice or production systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word), DMAIC principles and statistical analysis
  • Proven successful public speaking skills and presentation skills
  • Solid interpersonal and group communication skills
  • Location of position is flexible to Midwest Region – Travel required
