ISU Swine Disease Conference to Emphasize PED

The program is set and registration is open for the Iowa State University Swine Disease Conference, to be held November 13-14, 2014 in Ames, Iowa.

The Swine Disease Conference focuses on emerging swine pathogens and their control, improvements in diagnostics, and risk-based controls useful for on-farm health plan development. Special emphasis this year is on porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED), and the new challenges for swine veterinarians in better diagnosing and controlling this new disease that has had a tremendous impact on the US swine industry. A special tribute is planned in memory of Drs. James McKean and Scott Hurd, longtime contributors to the Swine Disease Conference, who both passed away earlier this year.

Don’t miss this opportunity for continuing education, networking, and quality research that is applicable to what you deal with daily as a practitioner! Early registration is available for just $235; register today at http://www.extension.iastate.edu/registration/events/conferences/swine/register.html.
