PEDv Update – September 3, 2014

Number of New Cases Reported -- Weekly aggregate update of new cases. The USDA’s National Animal Health Laboratory Network (NAHLN) reports 63 positive accessions out of 731 tested at 9 veterinary diagnostic labs for the week ending 8/30/14. The number of states reported to the NAHLN as having at least one confirmed case of PED remains 30. However, according to reports from the Utah Department of Agriculture, NVSL has recently confirmed the first case of PEDv in the state which would bring the total number of states to 31.
