Registration for Executive Veterinary Program in Swine Health Management Now Open

The University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine's Executive Veterinary Program (EVP) in Swine Health Management is now accepting registrations for the next EVP class scheduled to begin in October 2014 and run through April 2016.

This current EVP builds on the rich heritage of the award-winning Executive Veterinary Program. EVP was developed in 1991 to enhance the diagnostic, management, leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills of busy animal health professionals. Since that time, nearly 200 of the leading swine industry veterinarians from throughout the world have benefitted from this distinguished program.

Ten interactive, two-day learning modules are scheduled over a two-year period. Modules are organized sequentially to enhance the integration of the subject matter. The EVP instructors are nationally recognized experts in the field, from both academia and industry. Handouts, readings, and practical assignments for both individuals and groups will be designated by the instructors. Between modules, there will be regular communication between the program participants, EVP instructors, and program staff. EVP graduates will receive continuing education credit and a certificate in swine health management.

Module content, objectives, registration, and additional information are available at http://www.EVPIllinois.org. Enrollment is limited to 40 veterinarians to ensure close interactions among participants and instructors. Individuals who register by July 15, 2014, will receive a $1,000 discount.
