PEDv Update – November 20, 2013

1. The latest updates (11/13/2013) on NPB-sponsored research projects have been posted to the AASV PEDv website.

2. Call for PEDv Serum Samples Albert Rovira with the University of Minnesota Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory is requesting serum samples from PEDv positive sites for validation of PEDv ELISA and IFA tests. Submitters will not be charged a diagnostic fee yet will receive test results for a prototype ELISA within a week and IFA when available. Please contact Albert Rovira (rove0010@umn.edu) or Dane Goede (goed0051@umn.edu) for more information on how to contribute. Please indicate the age of the pigs and how long it has been since exposure to PEDv.

3. The New Case Report update from NAHLN has been posted to the AASV PEDv web page. There were 92 new accessions reported and no new states were added.
