Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc is currently seeking a Swine Professional Service Veterinarian to grow with us. Together with our swine sales and marketing teams, our Professional Service Veterinarians serve to optimize swine health and pork quality by being the leading vaccine and health solutions provider for our customer veterinarians and producers.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Supporting sales through technical support to Swine veterinarians, producers, dealers and distributor reps. Technical support may involve BIVI products, disease challenges, management, and production issues.

• Developing and implementing educational initiatives plus serve as technical experts for all customers.

• Investigate and report on disease breaks and product issues through problem resolution strategies, including farm visits and diagnostic investigations.

• Design, conduct, monitor, analyze and report on product support field trials.

• Prepare and submit abstracts of field trials for oral or poster presentation at veterinary CE or other related industry meetings.

• Implement technical marketing programs as directed by product and technical managers.

• Foster relationships with key opinion leaders.

Skill and Education Requirements:

• A veterinary degree (DVM or VMD) with minimum of two years swine veterinary practice or production system experience is required

• Board Certification and/or advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA) preferred

• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) is mandatory in order to meet the daily requirements of this position.

• Proven successful public speaking and presentation skills

• Solid interpersonal and group communication skills

• Some international travel may be required
