SafePork 2013 – Submit Abstracts and Register Now
April 17, 2013 —
Submit your abstract by May 1, 2013 for consideration to present at the 2013 conference, September 9-12, 2013, in Portland, Maine. Researchers, policy makers and industry representatives active in control and prevention of zoonoses of pig origin and other food safety concerns will gather to discuss the farm to abattoir relationships for pigs and pork.
The conference in 2013 will be the tenth conference in a row that started in Ames, Iowa, in the USA with a conference on Salmonella in pigs and pork. Because this conference clearly satisfied a need for the exchange of knowledge on this subject, it was decided to organise the next conference in Copenhagen, Denmark one year later. Since then, every two years, conferences have been organized in Washington DC (US), Leipzig (DE), Crete (GR), Sonoma Valley (California, US), Verona (II), Quebec, Canada and last year in Maastricht, Netherland.
Abstracts must be submitted electronically, written in English and be standard letter-size. The presenting author will be notified of acceptance by June 12, 2013. For more details on submitting your abstract, visit http://www.safepork2013.com.
