APHIS Seeks Comment on Brucella and PRV Proposal
February 20, 2013 —
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is seeking comment on a potential new approach to managing swine brucellosis and pseudorabies. Swine brucellosis and pseudorabies have been eliminated from commercial swine herds within the United States, but potential sources of introduction of these diseases exist and APHIS believes program modifications are necessary to address these risks. The proposed action plan presents the agency’s current thinking about the program modifications under consideration.
APHIS will consider all comments that received on or before April 8, 2013.
