Position Announcement: Swine Production Veterinarian - Oklahoma

Join The HANOR Company as a Swine Production Veterinarian. We are excited to announce this new position within our Veterinary team.

The HANOR Company is seeking a veterinarian to oversee swine health and integrate preventative health plans and monitoring in our production system in Oklahoma where we have sows and grow/finish pigs. The HANOR Company is one of the nation’s premier pork production companies with operations in seven states and over 550 employees. We continually strive for excellence in the areas of production, technology, nutrition, genetics and veterinary medicine that result in an extremely efficient, world class system that produces high quality market hogs for our producer-owned processing facility.

This position will be located in our Oklahoma region near Enid, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Perform routine diagnostic monitoring and facilitation of preventative medicine vaccine and medication plans.
  • Provide routine regulatory veterinary services.
  • Monitor production using production data and routine farm visits. Assist in setting and reaching goals for process improvement.
  • Assist our Animal Well-Being Manager in training, teaching and auditing our animal well-being programs.
  • Perform diagnostic work-up, investigation, and planning for improvement of health and production of problematic flows.

Applicant must have a DVM degree from an accredited U.S. College of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent. Applicant must have the ability to become licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Oklahoma. Prior experience in swine medicine is preferred but not required. Recent or upcoming veterinary graduates are encouraged to apply.
