Position Announcement: Swine Production Veterinarian

PFFJ, LLC – Farms is seeking a Swine Production Veterinarian. We are a leading pork producer in the Western United States with operations in four states (AZ, CA, CO and WY). This position would be based out of our Taylor, AZ location.

This position will provide veterinary leadership for a large, vertically integrated operation. This veterinarian will work directly with and travel to the production operations as we implement and execute preventive health and Quality Management programs through routine herd visits throughout our production system.

Major areas of responsibility will include: diagnostics, preventive and therapeutic strategies, bio-security, quality management and assurance training and auditing and the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) specifically as related to health.

Applicant must have a DVM/VMD and be able to work in a team environment of production managers, veterinarians and production support personnel and have excellent communication skills at the farm level and technical level.
