You Won’t Believe This…

In support of the 2012 AASV Foundation fund-raising auction, 4 Star Veterinary Services has donated multiple collections of handcrafted pig figurines and folk art collected by Dr. Dale Hendrickson during his recent visits to China. There are pig teapots, pigs pulling carts, sleeping pigs, laughing pigs, musical pigs, lucky pigs and, frankly, just damn cute pigs! If you can’t find a whimsical pig in this collection that tickles your fancy, well your fancy just can’t be tickled!

But, let’s say your spouse has put their foot down on any more pig whimsy in the house. We might just have the thing that’s both practical and fun. How about a wooden pig-shaped carving board? Handcrafted from walnut and white oak by Dr. Mike Knoll, nothing could be more useful around the kitchen and you’ve got two chances to be the proud owner!

Looking to cut something bigger than veggies around the house? Well then, how about hopping onboard a brand new John Deere X360 Lawn Tractor! This 48” cutting deck will make short order of any yard. This puppy’s got it all: 22 HP, hydrostatic transmission, power steering with tilt wheel, air conditioning, sun roof, cruise control, 8 track tape player, and a cup holder!! OK, I might have made up a couple of those things (the cup holder’s real), but this is a great mower and thanks to PIC for the generous donation. And, to top it off, Warren has already promised to drive it to your house (or did he say “deliver” it – whatever, we’ll get it there).

So, as you can see, there will be some really great items up for bid at the Foundation auction this year. But, if we’re going to come anywhere close to our goal we need a lot more donations.
