Inquiring Minds Want to Know: PFTS - What Is It, and Have You Seen It?
October 26, 2011 —
All AASV members are invited to participate in a study intended to determine the prevalence of porcine periweaning failure-to-thrive syndrome (PFTS). To participate, members view a 5-minute educational video that demonstrates the clinical features of PFTS, then complete a short (~10 minute) online questionnaire. As survey participants, AASV members will be making an important contribution to help researchers further understand PFTS. To view the educational PFTS video and to access the questionnaire, please click here (AASV member login required).
For more information about the project please feel free to contact the project coordinator:

The video and questionnaire are one aspect of a large collaborative research project working towards understanding PFTS. The project investigators include Drs John Harding, Robert Friendship, Steve Henry, Kent Schwartz, Darin Madson, and Terri O’Sullivan. This project is an initiative of the Canadian Swine Health Board with financing made possible by Agriculture and Agri-food Canada.
