International Conference on Feed Efficiency in Swine

The International Conference on Feed Efficiency in Swine, co-sponsored by Iowa State University and Kansas State University, is being organized as a forum to present the full breadth of knowledge on swine feed efficiency.

The conference will cover topics that range from the influence of feed processing on feed efficiency, or the role of dietary amino acids (or energy) on feed efficiency through to the role of genetic selection on feed efficiency. The program will appeal to anyone involved in the more technical aspects of pork production, including producers, nutritionists, veterinarians, geneticists, etc.

The organizing committee invites you to attend this very timely event, held when feed costs are among the highest in memory.

The conference hotel will be the Hilton Hotel located in downtown Omaha within the restored downtown area. The Hilton Omaha is a full-service hotel offering comfortable accommodations near the Old Market. All rooms will be fully renovated in time for this conference.

The meetings will be held November 8th and 9th at the Qwest Center, a multi-purpose facility with excellent facilities for a conference of this nature. It is conveniently linked to the Hilton Hotel for attendee comfort and convenience.

Omaha is served by the Eppley Airfield, located only 3 miles from the conference location. It offers direct flights from most major American airports, including Minneapolis, Chicago, New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Dallas and Atlanta.

Early registration deadline is October 5th. Additional information may be found on the conference website: http://www.ans.iastate.edu/ICFES/
