2011 International Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Symposium (IPRRSS)

This is the first announcement for the 2011 International PRRS Symposium. The Symposium will be held Friday December 2, 2011 to Saturday December 3, 2011 at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile in Chicago. The symposium will precede the Conference of Researcher Workers in Animal Diseases (CRWAD).

The topics for this year's program include epidemiology, heterogeneity and evolution of PRRSV, virus-host interaction and pathogenesis, structural and functional relationship of PRRSV genes, and vaccines, immunity and genetic resistance against PRRSV.

Lunch will be provided on Saturday and, due to the rising costs of hosting a meeting, there will be a $75 registration fee this year for non-students. Deadline for abstract submissions is August 25, 2011. Online registration and abstract submission will open soon at the symposium website; those requiring visas are encouraged to register as early as possible so visa letters can be processed.
