Position Announcement: Swine Veterinarian

Smithfield Premium Genetics seeks a swine veterinarian to provide veterinary support of health programs and strategies at its Rose Hill, North Carolina location. Work as team with Smithfield Premium Genetics production staff, technical staff, and customers to deliver high health genetic products. Provide technical oversight for the in-house diagnostic laboratory and work with other Murphy Brown veterinarians to support full life-cycle health programs.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited school and be or become licensed in North Carolina.

• 2-4 years post graduate experience, swine production/leadership, or advanced degree preferred

• Current and valid drivers license with acceptable motor vehicle record

• PQA trainer certification

• Ability to manage multiple departments

• Proven working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Internet Explorer is preferred.

• Must be available for frequent travel

• Must be available to work nights and weekends when necessary
