Destron Fearing RFID Swine Premise Tag Approved by USDA

Digital Angel Corporation has announced that its subsidiary Destron Fearing has received USDA approval for its 840 RFID Swine Premises Tag.

The 840 RFID Swine Premises Tag consists of a unique 840 (indicating the U.S.) country-coded, fifteen-digit animal ID number as well as a pink tamper-proof RFID button and a pink visual panel stud. Each tag also carries the official U.S. shield, a seven-character alpha-numeric Premises Identification Number (PIN), the state postal code of the PIN and a notice that it is unlawful to remove the tag.
