Getting a Tax Refund – Have I got a Deal for You!

What about putting a brand new John Deere tractor or Kubota utility vehicle in your garage? You know you need one and you're just waiting for the right time to buy it. Well, it won't get any better than the AASV Foundation Auction on March 8th in Omaha, NE. The auction booklets should be arriving in your mailbox later this week.

Alright, I've heard the argument that you don't need a tractor you've got a push mower and two kids and it's only 8 acres. Besides it builds character. Valid point. But while the kids are doing all the yard work what about a nice get away for you and the little misses (or mister)? Have you considered New York in the Spring? Think about it, two nights in the Big Apple! Bring along a beautiful handmade quilt to snuggle under and you never know, it could spark that old romance and you could wind up with a third kid to do the housework.

Ok, tall buildings and honking horns not your thing? What about a pheasant hunt or a duck hunt or an archery deer hunt? Bring along a Henry Big Boy .45 Colt Repeating Rifle and wear your "Hogs are Beautiful" belt buckle and you'll at least look like you know what you're doing. Tromping through the woods makes you think about ticks and chiggers? What about fishing on a beautiful pristine Alaskan, Minnesota or Canadian lake? You've got the Plano tackle box all stocked up and have been dying to try out your new G Loomis Walleye Series travel rod and Shimano reel. We've got the perfect adventure for you - and some of them even come with someone to cook and clean and tell bad jokes.

Or maybe you just want to block out the world for awhile and forget about the tribulations of hog production and swine medicine. Well picture this, the kids have just finished hauling in a load of firewood and built a roaring blaze mostly contained in the fireplace. You and your spouse are still reveling in the weekend get-away you spent exploring the virtues of your relationship that you recorded in your own personalized journal. You drop your I-pod into your Bose portable speaker system and queue up a podcast of the AASV general session that you downloaded from the website and settle into your easy chair. Your loving spouse brings you a selection of cheeses and decadent chocolates served up on a Michael Aram olive branch serving plate and a glass of wine from Dean & Deluca. Your mouth waters as you contemplate the delicious Omaha Steak dinner you're planning complete with a mixed green salad served up in your lovely bamboo salad bowl. Following dinner, you take your mug of Bluegrass Sundown back to the living room and turn on the Onyx lamp by the chair. You marvel at how the light shows off the fabulous AASV logo etched on the side of the coffee mug.

All this could become a reality at the AASV Foundation Auction during the annual meeting in Omaha on March 8th.
