CBS Evening News to Air Story on Antibiotic Use in Livestock

CBS Evening News is planning to air a story regarding antibiotic use in livestock sometime during the week of February 1st.
CBS News anchor Katie Couric has reportedly visited a Pennsylvania free-range, antibiotic-free turkey farm, and may include footage on Applegate Farms, a New Jersey producer of antibiotic-free, ready-to-eat foods including deli meats, bacon and hot dogs. Reportedly she has also interviewed FDA Deputy Commissioner Joshua Sahrfstein and National Pork Board's Assistant Vice President for Science and Technology Dr. Liz Wagstrom.
CBS has traveled to Missouri, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and Denmark to research this story which is expected to focus on Antibiotic use in pork and poultry production. It is unclear exactly when the news story will air.
