AASV Foundation Needs Your Help

The AASV Foundation is preparing for its upcoming fund-raising auction during the 2010 AASV Annual Meeting in Omaha, NE. The Foundation supports a number of programs including offering research grants, student scholarships, the Alex Hogg Memorial Scholarship, swine externship grants, travel stipends for veterinary students and the Heritage Award just to name a few. But, the economic downturn has hit the Foundation like it has everyone else and so they need your assistance now more than ever to continue to grow and provide on-going support for these programs.

The Foundation's largest fund-raising event is the annual auction and the first step to any successful auction is having a lot of interesting items available for bidding. That's where you come in. The auction committee would love to hear from you if you have an item you'd like to donate. It's as simple as going to the Foundation's auction website and filling out a donation form. Time is running short, though, and we need your forms submitted by December 10th so we can make sure the items are listed in the auction catalog.

Next, we need you to show up at the auction and bid with complete abandon and disregard for fiscal concern. After all, what else are you going to be doing on Monday night in Omaha in the winter? Remember, this is your foundation and we need your support to make sure it can continue to support a range of programs benefitting AASV members and students.
