Golfers and Sponsors Support AASV Foundation at Foxridge Golf Club
August 19, 2009 — AASV Staff
More than fifty golfers registered to participate in the AASV Foundation Midwest Golf Outing at Fox Ridge Golf Club on Wednesday. The event proceeded despite the challenge of intermittent rainstorms passing through the area during the day. In addition to a good turnout of golfers, the outing received excellent support from industry sponsors as well. Sirrah Bios hosted the beverage cart, and IVESCO sponsored the awards dinner that concluded the event. On the course, Pfizer Animal Health, Newport Laboratories, Harrisvaccines, Fort Dodge Animal Health, DeWaay Capital Management, and Chr Hansen kept it fun by hosting a contest or providing a giveaway at their sponsored hole.
Proceeds generated from the sponsorships and golf registration fees will help fund AASV Foundation programs such as swine externship grants for veterinary students, funding for research with direct application to the profession, travel grants for student attendance at the AASV Annual Meeting, and scholarships.
