Time is running out to register for AASV Summer Conference: "Optimizing Resources"

Only two weeks remain to register for the AASV conference, Advanced Techniques for Swine Veterinarians: Optimizing Resources, scheduled for June 22-23 at the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ames, Iowa. The conference features interactive presentations, case studies, and small-group lab sessions, with registration limited to 80 veterinarians and 40 veterinary students. Advanced registration is required.

Topics to be presented during the conference sessions address the theme of "Optimizing Resources" and include:

  • Troubleshooting ventilation systems
  • Identifying and managing the pain associated with lameness
  • Needle-free? A "pointed" look at the current state of injection technologies"
  • Identifying optimum market weight and ideal feeding strategy for profit maximization
  • Case studies
  • Welfare and the media
