AASV Plans New Office

Recognizing the need for additional office and storage space, the AASV Board of Directors has approved a plan to move the association's office to a new location.

Dr. Tom Burkgren, AASV Executive Director, is constructing an office and warehouse complex in Perry, IA and approached the Board with a proposal to move the AASV offices to the new location. The association will rent space in the new building including additional office space, workroom, conference room, and warehouse facilities.

The association currently operates out of a small facility with one office, a reception area and very limited storage and work spaces. There is no space to conduct group meetings and no storage or equipment to manage pallets of printed materials. As the amount of resources the association distributes to the membership has grown over the years the current space has become inadequate to meet the needs.

Construction of the new facility will begin soon with a projected occupancy date of September 1, 2009.
