AVMA PLIT Offers Resource Articles

The AVMA Professional Liability Insurance Trust (PLIT) has provided AASV with a number of educational articles addressing swine veterinary practice liability and practice management issues. These articles can be found in the Members-only area of the AASV website.
The articles cover such topics as:
- Client management,
- Medical records,
- Addressing livestock production questions, and
- License issues
The AVMA PLIT's mission is to provide a service that protects the assets and reputations of the participants and enhances the image of the profession. The AVMA has been providing this service since 1962 and offers products addressing business property/liability, workers' compensation, commercial automobile, employment practices liability, as well as coverage for mobile practices, emergency clinics, and the state and specialty veterinary associations. They also provide services to aid in the defense of a member's veterinary license.
