Registration open for AASV "Summer" Conference

AASV members and student members may now register for AASV's 2nd annual conference, Advanced Techniques for Swine Veterinarians, to be held May 28 & 29 in Ames, Iowa. Registration is limited to 80 veterinarians and 40 veterinary students on a first-come, first-served basis. The program and online registration are available at http://www.aasv.org/summerconf.

The Advanced Techniques conference is designed especially for AASV members who wish to expand their knowledge and skills to become more proficient swine practitioners. Session topics include information technology, ventilation, nutrition, behavior, slaughter checks, diagnostic case studies, and facility utilization and conversion. Presentations emphasize hands-on learning and case study applications. The conference provides 14.5 clock hours of veterinary continuing education in a combination of lecture and laboratory settings.

The conference is sponsored by PIC USA, Pfizer Animal Health, Novartis Animal Health US, Inc., Intervet, Fort Dodge Animal Health, and Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. The AASV Summer Conference Committee, led by Dr. Mike Mull, assembled the program. Committee members include Drs. C. Scanlon Daniels, Jeff Harker, Erin Johnson, Randy Jones, Locke Karriker, and Jason Kelly.
