Current topics of concern include Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MSRA), Clostridium difficile, Influenza Virus, and others. Of interest also is the recent occurrence of neurological disease among processing plant workers involved with the use of compressed air to remove brain tissue.

We are involved with a project at the upcoming AASV Annual Meeting. Dr. Peter Davies will be conducting a study funded by the National Pork Board designed to estimate the prevalence of MRSA in swine veterinarians. There will be a booth at the AASV meeting where we need volunteers to be part of the study, please stop by and enroll in the study.
