Position Announcement: Graduate Fellowship

Graduate Fellowship: The Food Animal Health Research Program, Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center is accepting applications from accredited veterinarians seeking a PhD degree from The Ohio State University. The fellowship is limited to 3 areas: poultry medicine, swine medicine, or food safety. The Food Animal Health Research Program focuses on the study of infectious diseases of food producing animals, their zoonotic potential and food and environmental safety. Studies include molecular, cellular, and organismal phases of diseases with the aim of understanding disease processes and the development of disease prevention and control measures.

The Food Animal Health Research Program occupies a modern laboratory and office facility with state of the art research equipment. In addition, high security animal facilities including a germfree animal facility are available. A BSL3 facility for large animals is in the final planning stage. The Food Animal Health Research Program is located at the Wooster Campus of the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center in a culturally and agriculturally rich part of the state.
