Pork Board Fills Vacant Seat

Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns announced the selection of Roy Henry of Longford, KS to fill the National Pork Board seat vacated by the resignation of Carol Hein. Mr. Henry, selected from a list of eight nominations, will serve a one-year term.
Mr. Henry has a wealth of experience in the pork industry, having served on the Environmental Committee, the Pork Quality Solutions Committee and the Air Quality Committee. He owns and manages a 1,500-sow farrow-to-finish operation in Kansas that markets 25,000 pigs a year.
