Golfers, register by August 8

Register now for the AASV Foundation Midwest Golf Outing! The Ames Golf & Country Club is set to host the 18-hole, best-ball event on Wednesday, August 22 in Ames, Iowa, and registrations will be accepted through August 8. Thanks to support from sponsors Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica and Elanco Animal Health, proceeds from the outing will help fund the Foundation's endowment.

Golfer check-in begins at 9:00 am the day of the event. Coffee and pastries will be provided along with an opportunity to hit a few practice balls on the driving range. The 4-person team, best-ball competition begins with a shotgun start at 10:00 am. Box lunches and beverages will be supplied on-course, and a reception will follow the golfing to recognize team and individual contest winners.

Invite your clients, friends, and family members to be a part of your team! Individuals and couples are also welcome to register and will be assigned to a team. The registration fee ($125 per person or $450 per team) includes 18 holes of best-ball golf, golf cart rental, morning refreshments, lunch, and the concluding reception with awards. Proceeds from the golf outing provide support for the AASV Foundation as it seeks to "Ensure our future...create a legacy" for swine veterinarians. Income generated by the endowment enables the Foundation to fund programs such as the Swine Externship Grants for veterinary students, travel stipends for students attending the AASV annual meeting, and funding for research with direct application to the profession.
