RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT SCIENTIST/CONSULTANT

Elanco Research and Development is seeking to develop individuals who have recently earned their DVM and/or PhD and are interested in a career in Animal Health Drug Development. Areas in which the applicant may work include: clinical safety and efficacy for companion animals, clinical safety and efficacy for food animals, and regulatory.

KEY OBJECTIVES/DELIVERABLES:

• Development and execution of pilot laboratory studies in companion and/or food animals

• Development and execution of clinical research plans in companion and/or food animals

• Development of clinical protocols to demonstrate safety and efficacy of molecules under development

• Oversight of clinical trial activities

• Preparation of final study reports to support regulatory submissions

• Development and execution of companion and/or food animal regulatory strategy and its integration with clinical development

• Interaction with domestic and international regulatory agencies to negotiate the necessary requirements to provide substantial evidence of safety and effectiveness

• Lead, direct and coordinate resources to execute regulatory submissions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• DVM and/or PhD in a Biological, Chemical, Animal Science or other related Scientific field

• At least 1 year of work or academic experience in a clinical environment

• Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Eli Lilly and Company does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B status) for this employment position.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:

• International and domestic travel required (could be as high as 50% at times)
