Canadian IPVS 2010 Bid
July 12, 2006 — Ernest Sanford
District 11 (Canada) is bidding to host the 2010 IPVS Congress in Vancouver, Canada. In the more than 30 years of its existence, the IPVS Congress has never been held in Canada. As this is Canada's 3rd time bidding, we hope, with the support of our AASV and other colleagues, to be finally successful in bringing the IPVS to Canada in 2010. Voting will take place on Wednesday afternoon, July 19, 2006 at the 19th IPVS in Copenhagen.
Vancouver, British Columbia, as the Canadian host city, is a spectacularly beautiful venue. Cushioned between the vast Pacific Ocean and the majestic Rocky Mountains, Vancouver, host of the next winter Olympics in 2010, has a diverse, vibrant, multicultural, population of over two million people.
