Nebraska Livestock Producers Eligible for Tax Credit
May 24, 2006 —
The Nebraska legislature has passed a bill allowing livestock producers modernizing their facilities to receive a tax credit.
The bill, LB990, amends the Nebraska Advantage Rural Development Act to include livestock modernization projects as eligible for state tax credits. These projects would be required to invest at least $50,000 in livestock modernization facilities. Eligible projects would receive a refundable credit equal to 10 percent for each $50,000 of investment in livestock modernization. Gov. Dave Heineman has signed LB990.
