AASV Member Named to the National Pork Board

USDA Secretary Mike Johanns has named Dr. Gene Nemechek to serve on the National Pork Board (NPB).
Dr. Nemechek, Director of Technical Services and Staff Veterinarian for Genetic Improvement Services of North Carolina, and 5 other pork producers were selected from nominations submitted by the National Pork Act Delegate Body during its annual meeting in March. The other appointees serving three-year terms include: Dianne Bettin, Truman, Minn.; Dennis Michael, Yankton, S.D.; Jeff Galle, Pittsfield, Ill.; William Brown, Nevada, Ohio; and Alan Wilhoite, Lebanon, Ind. (who will fill the remainder of a vacated two-year term).
