Swine Summer Institute at Minnesota

The University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine has announced the formation of the Minnesota Swine Summer Institute, a new swine education initiative directed at veterinary students and DVM graduates seeking advanced skills and knowledge in swine health and production.

The program consists of a series of three 2-week intensive courses to be run over six consecutive weeks from July 31 until September 10, 2006. The three courses will be team taught by faculty of the Swine Division and Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory of the University of Minnesota, complemented by invited experts and leading practitioners. The curriculum includes the following courses:

  • Introduction to Swine Health and Production;
  • Principles of Population Based Diagnostics and Therapeutics; and
  • Advanced Swine Health and Production
