Olymel to Construct Pork Processing Plant in Canada
November 15, 2005 —
Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2006 on a new pork processing plant located in St. Boniface, Winnipeg.
Once completed in January, 2008, the plant will employ 1100 people and provide product for the domestic and export markets. The 2.25 million head per year plant will be a joint venture involving Olymel, Hytech and Big Sky Farms and will produce products under the Olymel Brand.
