A hole in one!

Over $6,000 was raised for the AASV Foundation during the 2005 AASV Midwest Golf Outing. Remarking about the Aug. 24th event, Dr. Rodney Johnson, Foundation President said, "The money raised goes to the Foundation and then back to students and AASV members through the Foundation's activities. It's a win-win - a hole-in-one!"

Under weather conditions befitting a fall day in October, 45 golfers arrived at the Carroll Country Club with the best of hope for a good round. Although some golfers may not have played their best round, all enjoyed the best facilities and best opportunity to relax with fellow colleagues, friends, and clients.

"Our team from Chicago thought the trip was well worth the effort. It was great to see so many old friends," said Dr. Johnson. "Daryl Olsen did a great job organizing the event, and the sponsors are to be commended on their support," Dr. Johnson said. Special thanks to sponsors: Elanco Animal Health, Intervet, IVESCO, Novartis Animal Health US, and Schering-Plough Animal Health. Sponsorship provided the golf refreshments, lunch, closing reception, and prizes!

No golf outing is complete without the traditional 19th Hole get-together where golfers regroup and commiserate about the round. The AASV golf outing was no different. During the reception, Dr. Daryl Olsen announced the winners of the best-ball contest on the Par 71 course, as follows:
